Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5 is a popular Japanese racing game and it is always seen in driving-simulation machines. Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5 is an update version of Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 4 and in this version you can play online too just like Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 4, which means you can battle against other ghost from different country. In Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5, there are several added cars in the game includes mercedes and dodge and other cars. You can check it by clicking the buttons above.
In-game modes:
There are 3 in-game modes in the game, same like Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 4 that the "Outrun mode" is removed.
1. Story mode
The story line is still the same like the original manga or film of Wangan Midnight. The story tells about a high school student named Akio Asakura that was obsessed with cars and then one day he finally find a car that was called "Devil Z" by the local people because the car killed many driver in every car crash accident and the last owner has a name that was same with his name,"Akio Asakura". Getting Obsessed with the car, he bought it and race with legendary Wangan racer, Tatsuya Shima and encounter a tuner that tune the Devil Z, Jun Kitami and all the racer encounter with Akio Asakura believes that monstrous car called "Devil Z" can only be driven by him. And the stories continues...(you can upgrade your car's performance in story mode)
In this mode, you can race other player's ghost and the system is still the same like the previous version (WMMT4), you can race an online ghost from different country. There 5 Features in the Ghost Battle mode:
a). Japan Challenge
This feature challenging many ghost from all Japan area and includes get a special modification of your car if you completed challenging a region in Japan area.
b). Select Rival
This feature is an original mode of ghost battle that you can battle every player's ghost that played in the current machines and in online mode, you can battle local area ghost in your region and other region ass well in your country and you can earn points for customize your ride and there is a mode for challenging fastest and number one player in cerain tracks.
c). Revenge
This Feature can be played when your ghost have been defeated by other player and you can decide to get revenge or not, but when you completed a revenge batlle you will gain points for customize your ride twice more than you you earn in normal ghost battle.
d). Search Rival
This feature gives you to search your own enemy or other player's nickname so you can battle against him/her.
e). Champion Battle
This Feature can only played in certain time when the servers begin a champion events and you can join if you are registered in the Wangan Terminal and in this section you can race top player from around the country and can win templates for your nickname that shown beside the tachometer when playing the game.
And There was Versus mode where all the players can battle each other. In versus mode you can chose tracks and battle all you want. There are two mode in the versus mode:
1) Versus Mode
a normal mode with normal and original track path.
2)Extreme Mode
A mirrored track from original track and more features that all players can't see how far opponents from you and the track mileage.

A mode that records your fastest time at certain tracks at this is the best for practicing your corners and practice your driving skills.
